*Product will not protect your truck if tailgate is left unlocked*

Drivers Side

1.Remove rear T45 bolt from the trucks tailgate latch.

2.Put the 5/8 washer on the T45 bolt that was just removed.

3.Take your new Latch Armor bracket and hold up to tailgate, lining up the 5/8 hole on the bracket with the bolt hole from the T45 bolt that was removed.

4. Put T45 bolt back in place, slightly snug. The bracket needs to be able to move.

5. Rotate bracket down as far as possible, with the latch being able to move and lock without hitting the Latch Armor bracket.

6. Tighten down the T45 bolt. There is no torque spec from ford. Just good and tight.

7. Take the self tapping screw, put #8 washer on it.

8. Using a #2 square drive bit in a drill or impact driver, install the screw in the small hole in the Latch Armor bracket.

9.Make sure the latch operates properly, and make sure to pull on the tailgate handle to open latch before closing tailgate.

10. Your new bracket is installed and you are now better protected.
